The Mississippi Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (MAFCS) shares the vision and mission of the national association - the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS).

The MISSION of AAFCS is: “to provide leadership and support for professionals whose work assists individuals, families, and communities in making informed decisions about their well being, relationships, and resources to achieve optimal quality of life.”

The 2009 MAFCS Annual Meeting was held at

the Jackson Hilton in Jackson, MS on February 20, 2009.

This meeting and preceding Gala (the evening of February 19)

was a Centennial Celebration for AAFCS,

celebrating 100 years of the Association (1909 - 2009).
